PRSI Benefit
The Treatment Benefit Scheme provides dental, optical and aural services to insured workers, the self-employed and retired people who have the required number of social insurance (PRSI) contributions.
As of March 2021, the full cost of hearing aids to the value of €1000 is covered by this scheme. You may also use your PRSI contributions to offset the cost of more advanced hearing aids. It also covers up to €100 of hearing aid repair costs.
